General Membership Meeting

December 7, 2013

The meeting was called to order by VP Terry, AE5RI at 1830 hours. The location is the White Cap Restaurant in Gulfport, MS.  

Terry led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance.  

Ed, KA5VFU, led the group in prayer.  

Ed reported that Mike, K9NW, who was a guest at the club’s 2012 DX dinner to present Joe, K5JB, his last QSL for Number 1 Honor Roll from the Swain’s Island DXpedition and the Icom 7600 he used to make the radio contact wore the club’s tee-shirt to “fly the colors” for our club while he operated from the 2013Wake Island, K9W, operation. Two photographs of him operating while wearing the shirt were presented to deserving club members.  

On a motion to elect Mike, K9NW, as an honorary member by Ed, seconded by George, K5JZ, brief discussion was held. The motion passed.  

There being no further business, on a motion to adjourn by George, seconded by all members present. The meeting was adjourned and the DX dinner was held and declared a great event.
