Travis K5QJ called the meeting to order at 8:10am. A prayer was led by George K5JZ. It was noted that a quorum is present per GSDXA bylaws (25% of voting members) despite the light turnout.

Travis K5QJ conveyed the Directors' recommendation that Bob Kilroy, WB8BIE be granted life membership in the Club in recognition of his support of the Club's activities. Goerge K5JZ made a motion to this end. Bill NA5DX seconded. Motion passed.

The group discussed plans for the DX Dinner this December. No formal action taken as the group felt that more members should be present before any final decisions are made.

Terry AE5RI reported on the Field Day result. The score submitted to ARRL was 8872, roughly a 10% improvement over our 2011 score. Ray WQ5L asked that any Field Day related expenses be reported to him whether or not you wish to be reimbursed.

Upcoming DXpeditions were discussed. The Club will donate $250 from the DXpeditions budget toward the PT0S St Peter & St Paul Rocks expedition. Anyone wishing to donate toward defraying of this particular budget expense may do so before or at the next meeting.

The August GSDXA meeting will be held in Huntsville at or near the Hamfest, exact time/place TBD.

The group discussed ideas for getting involved with the Boy Scouts organization, particularly with respect to their ham radio activities. No formal action at this time, further discussion to be held when more are present.

Ray WQ5L read the minutes from June meeting which were written by Charlie WD5BJT. George K5JZ motioned to accept the minutes, Bill NA5DX seconded, motion passed.

Ray WQ5L presented the Treasurer's report. We disbursed funds toward the PO Box Rental, K5GDX QSL Cards, and for the new refrigerator in the operations trailer. The budget hit for the refrigerator came to only $21.46 after applying donations toward this cause by GSDXA and MDXA members plus a small amount earned from salvage of the broken unit. Five more ICOM raffle tickets have been sold. General Fund balance stands at $5705.15. George K5JZ moved to accept the report, Vic N5YY seconded, motion passed.

Mike WM5DX stated that he will be in London during the last two months of this year and would like to take some information about our members' station setups to share with his club in England. The group also discussed the idea of sending some GDX t-shirts or other items of local flair as a goodwill gesture. No formal action.

Vic N5YY motioned to adjourn at 8:50am. Mike WM5DX seconded. Meeting adjourned.

Respectfully Submitted
